Frequently Asked Questions

It’s obvious to have questions. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
Composite Front Door Info

What is a composite door?

A composite door is an exterior door made from a multitude of materials, instead of a single material such as wood or uPVC.

How long do composite doors usually last?

Composite doors are extremely durable. Palladio doors, for instance, are backed with a 12-year manufacturing guarantee as well as are virtually indestructible and require very low maintenance.

What is the difference between an installer, a supplier and a reseller?

We understand it can be confusing! The words installers, suppliers and resellers are often used interchangeably. They’re our clients and we sell our doors only through them. An installer is someone who installs the door for you whereas a supplier/ reseller might simply sell the door to the homeowner.

Palladio Composite Door Tips & Advice

How is a Palladio door different compared to an ordinary composite door?

Palladio doors are far superior to a standard composite door. Our Palladio doors are the most superior composite door designs available in the Irish & the UK markets. Our best in class manufacturing facility in Ireland is at the forefront of the composite door market in terms of technology, skills & processes. We have been in business for 40 years.

Palladio doors come with a 12-year manufacturing guarantee. Our new range of stainless steel door furniture is backed with a 5-year anti-corrosion guarantee. Palladio doors, unlike ordinary composite doors, do not warp or rust. Gone are your fears of living by the coast or the humid weather.

Plus, our doors are energy-efficient, meaning lower electricity bills, secure, covered with a renolit foil finish, meaning that they don’t need to be painted, and have a unique monocoque structure that stands for their well-built appearance. There is also a 65mm thick reinforced fibreglass finish which gives an impressive strength to weight ratio. Our doors have a unique monocoque structure filled with a PUREX0 core and reinforced with 65mm of fibreglass resulting in incomparable strength and resistance.

This free online tool can help you design your dream door by simply selecting the styles and type you’d like to see on a picture of your house. Alternatively, you can also download our brochure here.

For instance, I like the Chartwell Green in Dublin style. How do I go about it?

That’s great. If you’ve finalised a style and a colour, kindly select the option of forwarding your details to a local supplier on the door designer tool and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Can I buy a door directly from The Palladio Door Collection?

We’re glad that you stopped by and that you’ll be getting a brand new Palladio door! However, we are the manufacturers of the doors and deal with door trade only. Kindly let us know your geographical area through email/ chat tool/ social media and we’d get back to you with the suppliers nearest to you who'd give you a quote then.

Will the installer come up to my house to measure the door frame?

Once you get in touch with the supplier, they will arrange a time that would suit you for the initial survey of the door. They'll brief you on what to expect.

Can I buy the door furniture separately?

Our new stainless steel door furniture comes with a 5-year anti-corrosion warranty. Get in touch with us to know how to order the door furniture separately.

How long does the entire process take?

Once you’ve picked a design using our free online door designer or are going through the brochure, your chosen supplier will visit you for measurements of the door frame and give you a quote. Once the quote is finalised, the process should be completed within 4-6 weeks, depending on certain restrictions.

Why do some suppliers offer a 10-year guarantee?

At The Palladio Door Collection, we’re so confident of our doors that we offer a 12-year manufacturing guarantee and a 5-year anti-corrosion warranty on stainless steel door furniture. However, as we don’t sell directly to homeowners, the guarantee differs from supplier to supplier.

Grievances

What if my chosen supplier goes out of business?

That would be unfortunate! It rarely does happen however if it does, do let us know and we’ll get back to you promptly.

I’m dissatisfied. What next?

We’re sorry to hear that! At The Palladio Door Collection, customer satisfaction is of utmost priority. However, we understand there can be times when your desired product differs from your expectations. In that case, let us know and we’ll act promptly.
