Do you worry about the doors fading under the strong summer sun? Or just wearing away?
Keep your worries at bay with The Palladio Door Collection.
Look and Feel
Although there are various styles available within a painted timber door range and many people believe that you can not replicate the look and feel of a real wooden door, we at The Palladio Door Collection beg to differ.
We have taken the time to lift the grain from a real oak door and impress it onto a renolit foil to ensure a realistic look and feel to our front doors without the worry of maintenance or weathering.
Life Expectancy
The life expectancy of a painted timber door is dependent on the weather conditions it is susceptible to.
As a rule of thumb they can last up to 30 years if you are lucky and maintain the door, with a re-paint/varnish required every 2-3 years.
However composite doors can last a lifetime, with yearly oiling of hinges and other moving parts, they are low maintenance and extremely durable.
Cost & Maintenance
The initial cost of a painted timber front door is likely to be less than a composite front door, however the cost of upkeep and ongoing maintenance is likely to be more expensive.
To clean a composite front door, such as the Palladio door range all you need is soapy water and a lint-free cloth.
As painted doors are more susceptible to the elements and ageing, failing to maintain the door can lead to warping, peeling or swelling over time.
Renolit Foil Finish
The Renolit Foil we use on the door is extremely durable and does not warp, twist or delaminate which is why we chose to use it.
When it is scratched using excessive force then the colour you will see underneath is the same as the colour of the door this is just another reason why we chose to use foil as opposed to when a door is painted and scratched you will see white underneath the door.
The Palladio Door Collection begins its life as a real timber door, we place a gel mould over the timber door and transfer that grain detail onto the Palladio Door range.
Each door has a renolit foil finish (NOT painted) which means that not only does each door have an impeccable appearance it is paired with durability.
