Our installer of the month of May 2021 is Colin Tough Joinery.
Here’s a candid chat with them-
Colin and Heather Tough established their business 12 years ago. Prior to this, Colin had worked in the construction industry for many years and therefore has a wealth of experience to advise customers of options and of course the actual installation and fitting process. This is why they are a Palladio door installer, trading with us since 2012.
- What was your experience trading with other door suppliers before using Palladio doors?
We used PVC doors which are fine in certain situations or cheaper composite doors or Rock doors. The cheaper composite door faded in the sun, poor hinges that were hard to adjust and over time dropped on the point or in the case of Rock door, the surface in Rosewood bubbled and the panels bent in the sun.
- What were you using before our product/ service?
As mentioned above
- Summarise three points of frustration you faced prior to selling Palladio doors
As mentioned above
- What was the biggest ah-ha moment when you decided you needed to try something new?
Multiple call out and replacement slabs so when Joe Barry came to see us, he was very enthusiastic and there were definite advantages of a more modern product which we had been looking for some time.
- What were the top reasons you selected to use the Palladio door/ service?
Good salespersons, good brochures and more importantly, a top of the range product with multiple options and excellent glass choices.
- Tell us your experience with using our product/ service
As mentioned above- On the whole, a top of the range product, easy to deal with the team at the office, excellent sales manager in Marie, excellent design room that is perhaps underused by other firms. I like to change glass if a customer wants something different and it makes a door bespoke. Good after-sales team for issues.
- How easy or hard was it to get started with Profile Developments/ service?
Very easy pricing and good documentation
