‘Cancer comes to many people’s doors- Profile Developments and the Irish Cancer Society are raising funds for when it does.’
By partnering with the Irish Cancer Society, we aim to help people take their lives back from cancer.
Profile Developments has joined forces with the Irish Cancer Society to increase awareness, help support people affected by cancer and promote cancer prevention.
The cost of living is at an all-time high. The Society’s research states that cancer patients and survivors often find it difficult to get a mortgage or meet the expenses of their day-to-day needs.
If you’re keen to help make their lives better, there are several ways in which you can get involved.
Every year, Daffodil Day takes place in March. It is the charity’s biggest initiative, and hundreds of individuals and organisations organise fundraising events in their homes, local communities, and workplaces. The funds go towards the development of life-changing research as well as providing vital cancer support services to patients and their loved ones.
You can also help by:
- Making a one-off or monthly donation online
- Leaving a legacy
- Volunteering your time
Volunteers make it possible for the Irish Cancer Society to reach people affected by cancer, but there’s always room for more. If you want to be a volunteer, you can help out in several ways including:
- Helping out an Irish Cancer Society charity shop
- Become a volunteer driver and bring patients to and from their chemotherapy appointments
- Signing up for Peer Support, the Irish Cancer Society’s one-to-one programme where volunteers who had a cancer diagnosis in the past provide emotional and practical support to newly diagnosed patients.
Together, Profile Developments and the Irish Cancer Society want to increase awareness, promote cancer prevention and raise vital funds to support the Irish Cancer Society’s services, with all funds raised by Profile Developments going towards the society’s various campaigns, research and transport services.
At The Palladio Door Collection, we are proud to have made a difference through our Daffodil Day breakfast mornings, Big Pink Breakfast, clothes collection and our 1% initiative- 1% of any new colour on The Avant Garde range (Champagne, Balmoral, Quartz Grey, Sage, Windsor & Platinum Bronze) purchased in the summer months of July-August 2024 was donated towards the society to fund children’s cancer research and treatment plans.
